My dogs love our cats. They think they are toys. Now the 2 male cats (Simon and Bradley) have learned that they can play back and they will leave them alone. The female Cat (Abby) hasn't learn this. She will run, puff up and hiss....well this only encourages the dogs.
Now for those of you who are thinking...this is mean, they really are very gental. Since they are retreavers and were trained to carry ducks, they have very 'soft' mouths. Plus Bradley and Simon sleep with the dogs at night....so they must not mind too much.
Well the other night, Abby challenged the dogs to a stand off. (We have a cat door so that the cats can eat in peace...really it is so the dogs don't eat their food.)
I could hear Gus and Haley whining after I went to bed. That isn't normal for them to be downstairs when we go to bed. They normally go to bed with us. So I come down to see what is going on.
Abby is layed in the cat door looking in to tease Haley and Gus. Haley and Gus have taken up a spot on a pillow and are just sitting there looking at each other. This went on for about 30 mins. and ended without anyone touching each other.
Here is an instance where I had a 
Gus wanted in on the action too....
I thought this was too cute...before I moved the camera, I was right in the middle of them. So you can only imagine how easy photos were.
